Your humble host.

Born unable to feed and clothe himself, with hard work and dedication Mike was soon able to teach himself how to work the vending machine. Clothing, alas, still remains a mystery.

A programmer/web developer and self-described "problem solver" (whatever the hell that means), Mike works in collegiate publishing and freelances on the side for a number of different clients. He enjoys programming in Perl, PHP, JavaScript, C/Objective-C + Cocoa and, while not programming languages, digs (x)HTML, CSS and various and sundry XML formats.

A husband since 2004 and a daddy since 2006, he also lives in a constant state of panic. He enjoys hot sauce, Apple products, Blues Traveler, Meijer brand tortilla chips and writing in the third person.

Why Mode3?

While trained as a programmer/systems administrator/miner of bits and holding a degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University my passion has always been archeology.

No, seriously.

Mode three is just a reference to a certain level of lithic technology closely associated with Neanderthal peoples.
