Textile support has (finally) been added, you can switch between Markdown and Textile in the config/kingfisher.config.php file.

Comments are coming along, we have the simple challenge/response system working. Perhaps more on why I didn't use CAPTCHAs in the future, but the long and short is that:

Most CAPTCHA implementations are near impossible to read (try posting a comment to Digg, for instance).
They really don't work well with screen readers
